So bad it's good. The aesthetics and premise make it hard not to love, ngl. All the 90's things you'd expect:

>manic pixie dream girl
>alt rock fashion
>grunge music & Bjork on soundtrack
>custom hip hop song made by a token raper lead

I don't remember this film being so feminist but then again I was a wee lad when I first saw it on TV. Things have come so far that its feminism is just laughable though. People seem to have a love/hate relationship with the QT tomboy character, and I for one, had a love relationship. She's got that skinhead girl aura and apparently was designed as such by the original 80's comic strip artist. But of course, the non racist oi punker. I know such girls are batsh*t crazy and nothing but trouble, but I just can't help but love 'em. For that reason alone, I want to give the film a 4/5 star rating but it's just poorly executed everywhere else. So only watch it if you are a fan of retro cheesy films.

Hmmm. What else?

Well, I realized she was the original DeadPool, with her 4th wall breaking smarta** meta pop culture dialogue, and overly sexual references. All of this is endearing, but the simplified evil patriarchal/capitalist bad guys is annoying even if it is laughably dated in this film. On the plus side, you get to see Ghislaine Maxwell get humiliated half way through. :^)

This film has only two options: love it or hate it. Watch the trailer and you'll immediately know which camp you'll fall under.
