This is everything Disney should be right now but isn't. Yeah, it's "cry porn" kinda' , (meaning there are seemingly gratuitous sappy scenes for no reason other than to overload you with feels), but who cares? This was amazing from start to finish. The animation surely uses computer programs but it's done so seamlessly that it still feels on par with what you'd expect a Studio Ghibli tv series to look like. Very warm and lifelike. The only reason I gave it anti-God ratings is because they have their own fantasy world Pagan type afterlife. But the morals are very Christian because it's all about forgiveness and it even has the DBZ theme of making bad guys your friends. There is a gay character but he's the kind you'd see in a 90's show. In other words, he's a f**gy stereotype that makes you laugh. There is one weird scene though where he is training the little boy and the little boy goes into a room alone with him to do secret training and comes out exhausted. But I'd say get your mind out of the gutter and try to view it from a Japanese perspective with no creepy Disney agenda. As far as the Neo-Marxism goes, the fact that the main character is deaf is very reminiscent of something you'd see in the West. But again, try to see it through a Japanese lens. It's not a woke oppressed minority type story. It's a very inspirational coming of age underdog story with lots of badass macho dudes and male camaraderie. Most women fill their gender roles, and the ones who don't are magical. So don't stress that either. Oh, and everyone is White like the kinds of Medieval genre films pre 2000. Yet again, Japan (ironically) leads the way in non-POZed pro-White media.
