I’ve gotten very tired of the Michael Bay discourse, and being a a real fan of his sometimes means just stepping outside of all the debating and arguing, since the man himself seems to do that anyway. He doesn’t seem that interested in his detractors and what people think of him, and neither do I. That said, it does bother me when I see a lot of people misread him a lot. Every time I hear someone talk about Bad Boys II or 6 Underground (the best examples I can think of for Bay’s particular brand of cinema), people are always calling his stuff “hateful,” “mean-spirited,” and other serious accusations.
