Max Rose, 2013 - ★★½

A incredibly rote film on old age and the reflection that stems from looking at one's past. In a long shot kind of way, I was hoping for indie cinema's modernized Make Way For Tomorrow or Tokyo Story starring Jerry Lewis, but instead got a poorly written vehicle that comes off a bit flat and uninspired. Perhaps my average rating is still a smidge high, but I still enjoyed what moments there were of Jerry wallowing in sadness and giving a decent perforce all-the-while.
