I love that viewership on this is surging right now, though I wish it was for a different reason. If you recently enjoyed this film I'd suggest you also check out his films Side Effects, High Flying Bird, and Unsane if you haven't already. Meryl's daughters have a unique style, I expect to see them build upon their careers in major ways this decade.
I've come to think of Soderbergh in the last few years first and foremost as a mixed media master rather than a director alone. He's able to enmesh collage, sound design, POV changes, unorthodox performers, as well as prioritize subject over content and vice versa with ease. Which for me is a clear marker to him achieving a level of mastery in the form...
