This made-in-Cameroon micro-budgeter-as-travelogue concerns locals’ fraught relationship with their country’s dependency on tourism dollars and the attendant government impositions on the population. The trouble starts when Pierre (Jean Marc Cedot), a wimpy Frenchman, arrives in Africa with his frizzy-haired and tattooed black wife, Emilienne (Helen Nchang), and secures the services of “composed gentleman” Mola (Sube Clovis) to guide them in their hike up Mount Cameroon. Unfortunately for everybody involved, the foolish tourists fail to obey the experienced Mola’s instructions and end up losing their way and becoming separated in the jungle, with the result that Mola is suspected of foul play, arrested, imprisoned, accused of being a “thug” and “crazy fellow”, and tortured...
