Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, 1944 - ★★½

When it gets to the flight over Japan, this thing delivers. Unfortunately, there is at least an hour before and after that of stodginess and pacing issues. It’s just too long. That flight, though—it’s worth seeing for that. Too bad the wartime camaraderie and romance that were there couldn’t be more compelling.

I would file this one with the later Delmer Daves film, Task Force, with Gary Cooper. Forgettable story but great war footage.
