Good redpill about the military industrial complex. Also about Africa being a sh*t hole. If you like this film I suggest watching "Empire of Dust" and for a more redpilled film on (((drug traffickers))) check out "War Dogs."

I did a bunch of research and some sources say Viktor Bout (the main source of inspiration for Nicolas Cage's character) was a Jew. But no trustworthy source, just random blogs. Most agree he was born in Tajikistan (when it was still part of USSR), and South African gov't said he was Ukrainian. But he has many identities and was secretive, so we may never know. But (((internationalists))) tend to be members of the tribe. In some of his interviews he seems to say it's all American propaganda and he is a scape goat. Sounds about right. And that was kind of the message of the film. That he is a small symptom of a much bigger problem. The military industrial complex (and for us redpilled folks, "demography is destiny.") I.e. Africa will always be a sh*t hole and there will always be endless wars around the world. And it's not just the corrupt shadow gov't in America. China, UK, Russia all traffic insane amounts.

Therefore, I am sympathetic to the guy. And in one article about a documentary about him, it seems that he was definitely one dimensional and ruthless as a character. But in real life, he was more complex and kind. Which is interesting, because most gangster movies try to glorify and "humanize" the protagonist. At least, nowadays.

Overall, good stuff. Worth the watch. Worth paying for IMHO.
