It wasn’t so bad. The one white guy is a goofy nordic stereotype of course. Annoying. Lots of patriarchs portrayed as archaic and selfish buffoons as well. But the rest of the movie was homogeneous arabs and men being men that fit the circumstances. There was some strong woman mary sue Frozen rip off stuff going on towards the end, as is to be expected. Still annoying even when it’s predictable though. But no strong agenda really, just a remake cash grab trying to avoid triggering social media cancel culture it seems. Other than that it was the typical poor people good, rich people bad, money doesn’t buy you happiness cliché romcom we’ve seen a million times. Watch it if it’s free cuz it’s pretty entertaining but don’t pay to see it cuz I am sick of remakes!!!

P.S. It seemed like they wrote the genie to be a sassy drag queen type but couldn’t play him that way. It was like Jack Black’s african american impression in Jumanji 2. Felt like he and will smith were holding back to not be offensive and it made the character less loveable and funny. But this is just speculation and my opinion.

P.P.S. They said the strongest being in the universe and weren’t referring to god so i guess it could be anti god to some.
